Nach einer Woche des Kampfes gegen diese starken Westwinde beschlossen Kapit\u00e4n Julian und seine Crew, an der spanischen K\u00fcste in der N\u00e4he von Gij\u00f3n Schutz zu suchen und besseres Wetter abzuwarten. Nach einem Tag vor Anker, konnte die AVONTUUR weiter segeln. Das schlechte Wetter hielt weiter an, so dass der n\u00e4chste Hafen Porto nicht angelaufen werden konnte, sondern direkt weiter nach Funchal gesegelt werden musste.
