Robin, 38, German, Architect, 6.000 miles on Avontuur.

What is your motivation to sail with the AVONTUUR?

This project fully addresses my ethical concerns. Taking part in the shift from oil-based to eco-friendly shipping is thrilling. To sail organic and fairtrade cargo gives my life-long passion for sailing a new dimension. While we made the passage from the Caribbean to Europe – our hold full of coffee, cacao, rum, and wine – our effort was cheerfully greeted by the presence of whales, dolphins, seabirds, and a shark.  In many ways, the value of this project can only increase.
