What we need in German is called a Nautischer Schiffsoffizier (STCW II/I, IV/2, VI/2(1), VI/3) with C-Naut. The English translation is a navigational watchkeeping officer (STCW II/I, IV/2, VI/2(1), VI/3) with C-Naut or equivalent engineer’s license.
AVONTUUR is on a ‘mission zero‘ which means on our sail cargo voyages we are trying to tread on earth’s surface as lightly as possible to avoid emissions by all means. Consequently, we are trying to avoid flying crew in and out and instead we strive to recruit all crew for the entire round trip. Of course, that does not always work out so that we are permanently looking for experienced crew who share our values. If you ard holding the required certifications please apply now to complement the crew for yet another epic voyage from Guadeloupe through the Caribbean and for the remainder of the voyage. That means from Guadeloupe to Honduras, Belize, Mexico, the Azores and finally back to Europe to Kiel to participate in the ‘Kieler Woche’ and on to Hamburg in early July 2020. In Hamburg, we will discharge the entire cargo of coffee, cocoa, rum and other organic and fair trade goods and produce and then shift to a shipyard (TBC) for a refit prior to commencement of the next voyage by the end of August.
If interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your credentials and motivations.
