The AVONTUUR and her crew embarks for CANADA.

Our community AVONTUUR will connect with both electric trains and trucks to amplify this trailblazing campaign.  From point of production to retailer, this is about redefining sustainable trade and spearheading ecological leadership in transoceanic transport.  The crew made up of men and women from all walks of life of come together to passionately pursue this sailing cargo mission together with Port Franc Logistics.

Together with our partners, Port Franc Logistics, we are pursuing an unprecedented campaign linking Europe and Canada with out relying on fossil fuels.  Our AVONTUUR will be loading responsibly produced products offloaded at ports by electric trucks and trains then loaded onto our AVONTUUR by electric crane or using manpower.  Together with Port Franc Logistics and with the support of the government of Quebec we will be making 5 trips over the next three years.  This will be our inaugural first voyage.  Our crew will be sailing cargo for Port Franc, Roudinaud, Guy Cotten, Manufacture de Digoin, Nicolas Feuillate and textile for Cirque du Soleil.

Given favourable winds, this round transoceanic trip will take 95 days and cover 9,450 Nautical Miles.  The mission is to continually promote social and ecological sustainability in the shipping industry by being a catalyst for change.
